A woman, identified as Mrs Chidaza Ezeaka (pictured above), has been duped of a sum of N274,000 by a fake prophet, after she paid the money for a deliverance prayer which turned out to be a hoax in Lagos.

Ezeaka, according to PM Express, was made to pay the money after she was told strange things about her family by the fake prophet and his team which proffered deliverance solution and she fell into their trap and was duped.

The fake prophet, Uche Ekeh has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court with conspiracy, obtaining under false pretence and stealing under the Criminal Code.

It was gathered that the embittered Ezeaka parted with her hard earned money after she encountered Ekeh and others now at large at Abesan first gate, Baruwa, Ipaja where she entered their car and they made some prophesies concerning her.

They drove her down to Dorcas Street in Ejigbo area of Lagos where she was highly manipulated and eventually duped.

She said while making the revelation, they took her to their fake church in Ejigbo where she was hypnotized and made her to go to her bank and withdrew all the money in her account and gave them.

She said after they collected the money, she was asked to come back in the following day for final prayer and deliverance. On getting there the following day, she did not find any of them again and she was told by the residents that she had been duped as such people had no church there.

She went back home and then revealed the secret to her husband.

She told her husband that they placed her on oath and warned her not to tell anyone about it until after the prayer and the deliverance have been concluded.

The matter was reported to the Police at Area M command, Idimu and Ejigbo Police division who trailed and arrested Ekeh.

Ekeh, who did not deny the offence, told the police that the woman got what she wanted and that they prayed for her.

He was charged before a Magistrate’s court sitting in Ejigbo, but he pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr A.A. Fashola granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition, and the matter adjourned till 11 January 2017.
