Okada Riders Brutally Stab 2 Task Force Officers To Near Death For Impounding Their Bikes

Two paramilitary officers of the Lagos State Task Force BRT monitoring team are in serious pains right now, after the brutal attack on their lives by an irate Motorcycle operators, popularly known as Okada riders. The two officers were reportedly stabbed on Thursday while on duty at Oyingbo towards Iddo area of Lagos.


This sad incident was disclosed by ASP Abutu Anthony, the Leader of the Lagos State Task Force BRT enforcement team, via a statement made available by the agency’s spokesperson, Mr Adebayo Taofiq.

According to the statement, the incident took place while the operatives were on enforcement operations at Yaba, Jibowu, Oyingbo and Iddo. The motorcycle operators gathered themselves to forcefully rescue impounded motorcycles and in the process attacked his men and brutally stabbed two of them.

One of the victims, Ogbonna Bernard was stabbed twice on his head and one of his eyes, while the other victim, Ibrahim Yusuf, was stabbed on his leg and stomach.

Both of them were admitted to the Emergency wards at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) at Ikeja.

It was gathered that after the deadly attack on his men, the Chairman, Lagos State Task Force, SP Olayinka Egbeyemi, immediately led another enforcement team to Oyingbo towards Iddo, ordered the arrest of 20 suspects who carried out the attacks and also impounded 45 motorcycles.
